Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MiraPello Trace handles information when you use its camera tracing, photo reference, favorites, and lettering features.
Information the App Handles
MiraPello Trace handles the live camera preview, photos you specifically select, and locally saved app preferences only as needed to provide the features described below.
Camera Access
The camera is used only when you open AR Trace. It provides a live view of your paper so the selected reference can appear over it on screen. Camera footage is not recorded, saved, or uploaded by the app. If you deny camera access, you can continue using Screen Trace and other features that do not require the camera.
Photo Selection and On-Device Processing
MiraPello Trace uses the system photo picker, which lets you choose a specific photo without giving the app access to your full photo library. A selected photo is processed on your device to create outline, grayscale, or high-contrast references. The photo and temporary processing results remain in memory, are not uploaded, and are cleared when the app moves to the background or the photo is removed.
Information Stored on Your Device
Favorites, recently used references, lettering drafts, preferences, and onboarding status are stored locally so the app can remember your choices. This information is not transmitted to us. Removing the app from your device removes its locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Camera and photo features remain under the control of the device owner and the operating system's permission settings. Children should use these features with permission from a parent or guardian.
Security and Retention
Favorites, recent references, lettering drafts, preferences, and onboarding status remain in the app's local storage. Selected photos and temporary processing results remain in memory and are cleared as described above. Device access and backups are controlled through your operating system and device settings.
Changes to This Policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before those changes are released. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
